Marvin K. has taken risks creating markets where none existed before and built a thriving fashion-forward footwear company.

Aquatalia by Marvin K. launched in 1989. At that time, he looked to footwear resources in Italy to develop methods that would enable the finest materials to withstand the harsh elements. So convinced was he of the potential to meet the market’s needs, Marvin K. poured his heart into developing the world’s first weatherproof, stain resistant footwear collection using the finest Italian leathers and suedes available.

Marvin K.’s background poised him perfectly to realize his concept for an innovative footwear company. While pursuing a mechanical engineering degree at McGill University, the ambitious student worked summers in the family’s footwear factory. There, he acquired a thorough understanding of how shoes are made from the ground up. Along with this technical training, Marvin K. became immersed in the design process, new fashion trends and understanding women’s footwear needs.

Today, Marvin K. along with his daughter Rena, leads a talented international team dedicated to creating premiere quality fashion footwear, which is sold at the world’s finest retailers. Marvin K. continues his year-round travels, making personal visits to the brand’s distinguished retailers throughout the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.
